More cold pictures

Went for a walk in the park today, it felt really cold, but the temperature seems to be rising as it is starting to thaw.


The fountain was still working but covered in ice.


The lake was frozen solid, ice about 4 inches thick. Lots of skaters about, an impromtu ice hockey game and a group curling, see the picture.


The forecast is not good, more snow next week so they say.

Update

I'm going to try to use the blog as a regular update channel. I've not done much on the genealogy front for a while, but I'm delivering a training course on Family History soon, so I'm going to get in about my family to get up to date. I'll keep you posted.

Long time - no blogging !!!

It's been a while since I logged into the blog, no excuses, I've been doing other things!

It's early January 2010 and it's freezing, literally, it's -7C tonight. We've had snow lying for the past 3 weeks and it isn't going to melt anytime soon. I've posted some pictures to let you know how cold we are.
